Quakers at the Edinburgh Fringe

Welcome to the Quaker Meeting House, Fringe Venue 40. Quakers from South East Scotland and beyond have run Venue 40 as part of our community involvement since 1989, providing food for the mind, body and spirit. All profits from the theatre go to charity.

Dear Friends,

To all our companies who were planning to join us for Fringe 2020: thank you for your patience, and we hope you are all keeping well and safe. We have been thinking about the way forward from here, and would like to update you.

Quakers at the Edinburgh Fringe

For the 31st year, Quakers will turn the Edinburgh Quaker Meeting House in Victoria Terrace into Fringe Venue 40, offering shows, workshops and a café, and raising money for charity.

Venue manager Sue Proudlove says “we try to offer a programme that springs from our Quaker values of peace, sustainability, truth and equality, but which also reflects our sense of fun”.
