Under the musical directorship of Sabine Geis, this youth orchestra of plucked instruments from Hesse, Germany, has gained international acclaim. It has produced two CDs and given many concerts including touring Scandinavia and the USA.

The Jugend Zupforchester Hessen brings a programme of music from classical to modern pop, including works by Mozart, Gershwin and Peter Maxwell Davies' "Farewell to Stromness".
