"A frail, ancient figure is wheeled in to the space. White uniformed attendants ease him into bed... Faithful to the text, Cygnet recreates the story, moving seamlessly in and out of dream-like sequences." Western Morning News

'one of the biggest gems of this year' fringe'.
Oh Brave New World That Has Such Acting In't
Come to see Cygnet Company's production of THE TEMPEST, and when you do, come armed with a vocabulary of superlatives.
This production has to be one of the biggest gems of this years' fringe. Every minute of it draws you further in to the mesmerising world of Prosperso (played brilliantly by Ben Crispin) and his magical island. Lucy Middleditch gives us a tender and bewitching Miranda, while Becky Musto's Ariel is so enchanting that I can still see her in front of my eyes.
Add to that Paul Hadyn robust yet vulnerable Caliban, and Toby Morrell doubling up as the suave Sebastian and ludicrous Stephano - in fact every one of the stunning cast, and you certainly have the best Tempest I've ever seen.
As well as fantastic acting, you'll also see bewitching costumes and hypnotic choreography mixed in with some spellbinding music and video.
What more can I say? Just don't take my word for it - you have to see this glittering treasure for yourself.
Prepare to be seriously charmed!
Vale Benson.
