Advices and Queries

A bit rough-around-the-edges, but informative and from the heart

"Crossing the River Jordan" is a multimedia production put on by El Funoun Group, composed of "friends and members of the Palestinian community in Scotland." It tells the stories of several Palestinian characters and a couple of Israeli soldiers, and their experiences at checkpoints in the occupied territories. Throughout the play, a "Faux News" program interviews a Scottish peace activist about the situation in Palestine, highlighting the difference between what westerners learn about the Israeli occupation through the media and the firsthand experiences of those in Palestine. A rough-around-the-edges production, but informative and from the heart.
