Be aware of the spirit of God at work in the ordinary activities and experience of your daily life. Spiritual learning continues throughout life, and often in unexpected ways. There is inspiration to be found all around us, in the natural world, in the sciences and arts, in our work and friendships, in our sorrows as well as in our joys. Are you open to new light, from whatever source it may come?

Terrace Comedy

If you are looking for cheap gags about Quakers, you will be disappointed with basket. Streets and D’Ancona take you through an hour of very real-life humour with a bit of song along the way. Topics ranging from the complexities of sudoku to speed dating with a difference. The duo concoct a series of distinct, genuine, likeable characters and situations, presented in a very humorous and light-hearted way.

Streets has had a corporate career and has wised up to the different characters one encounters. Together with D’Ancona who has a serious acting portfolio they present the characters and by picking out a few particular details we realise we know these people from real-life, making it hard to believe there are only two members of the cast. For these are not just characters from the office. The history teacher from the future being one of the high-lights and a good example of the originality the women are going for. The audience becomes the class as we are told about President Schwarzenegger’s plans to close American borders. With a comfortable amount of audience participation, the show went down really well and we all went away knowing how much you really can learn about someone from their Tesco shopping receipt!
